The work
The assistant answers questions about cars, service, orders, and part compatibility from several internal sources. The retrieval layer is the product’s backbone.
What mattered
Automotive questions are full of ambiguity. The system needed query processing, ranking, and evidence handling that could survive messy real-world phrasing.
What shipped
We built hybrid search, multi-stage ranking, HyDE-style query expansion, and the agentic flow that connects retrieval to useful answers.
